Moana: Review

What we already know: Moana is a stunningly gorgeous film featuring sensational songs from Hamilton penner Lin-Manuael Miranda and three-dimensional characters voiced by Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho. In short, it’s one of the finest things Disney has put out in years and got a fever-pitched response seen lately only by films like Frozen. Joining them on their epic ocean journey to save Moana’s people and their island, is the delightful chicken minion HeiHei – he gets a ton of laughs and deserves them all. (I’d love to see a short featuring HeiHei sometime soon.) The lovely relationship between Moana and her grandmother also deeply touches the heart and pulled a couple of tears from my eyes.

Really, really short review: Gorgeous, beautiful, wish you were here!

Now available on VOD and at Redbox.
